Hollo-Bolts were specified for connecting steel hollow sections to create a frame that supports the skylight compression ring in the center of the Cade Museum roof. The Hollo-Bolt by Lindapter was chosen because of its high resistance to shear and tensile loading. Lindapter’s wide range of independent technical approvals provided the specifiers with further confidence.
Using the Hollo-Bolt eliminated the need for drilling and through-bolting or welding in the field. The contractor benefited from a convenient installation using just standard hand tools, which provided a more efficient construction schedule.
