Hollo-Bolts® Specified for EDF’s Research and Development Centre.

Sectors: Structural, Architectural
Applications: Securing glass panels onto the roof

Summary:

The brief required a strong connection to secure the roofing framework to the structural hollow section on the new circular buildings. After VP & Green Engineers evaluated several connection methods including self-drilling bolts, they specified Lindapter’s CE marked Hollo-Bolt due to its high capacity and corrosion resistance.

Decorative glass panels were mounted onto the steel framework that connected back to structural hollow sections using aluminium brackets and Lindapter’s Hollo-Bolts. The Hollo-Bolts facilitated a fast installation without the need for on-site drilling or welding.
